Thailand - monkey day!

We wake up late at 8:30am and have a quick breakfast. It's monkey trail day and I'm excited to meet some little cuties! We pick up bananas on the way which provides some lure for the hungry fellas.
There are monkeys everywhere. Momma monkeys, babies, adolescents, mature ones. So many monkeys! I have to say though that the babies are absolutely hands down, the cutest. They like bananas but love peanuts! I am definitely coming back with peanuts!
At one point, I sit on the stone wall and they start to climb on me. One is on my shoulder and attempts to take my earrings. The other is behind me tugging at my shirt. It feels like things could go sideways quickly so I stand up and brush them off. Who wants a monkey bite, right?
Now off to the trail. It proves to be a little dicey. The engineering and construction and definitely not to code! In fact, John is sure that it was designed for small Thai people, not large Americans.
We persist and get the the end, which is a lovely beach with beautiful views.
John takes a walk along the shore while I stay in the shade. I have proven to be too delicate for the severe sun here! 🥵
We see some dogs...
The monkeys don't like the dogs and the little ones stay high in the trees.
We also see a lizard with a blue tongue.
We find a swing on the way back and I'm taken back to childhood! As if monkeys didn't already do that.
We are having so much fun!
At lunch, we see the Egyptian couple that we met on the tour boat and they are so excited to see us. We hug (Egyptian style) and talk for several minutes. That are considering going diving with me over the next few days and we exchange WhatsApp contact info.
This is Jasmin and Moataz.
Here we are together!
Right now, I am feeling so blessed to be with the man that I love, more today than ever before! We are enjoying a wonderful trip together and having conversations that are not forced or silent. For many years we really had nothing to talk about other than work. We'd fine ourselves at the most beautiful destinations and couldn't find the words between us. Relationships go through many stages of change and growth. When you are strong enough and committed enough to work through those times of challenge- or lucky enough to be too busy to mess it up too much, you get to a point that you realize that it was all worth it. Now, was lucky enough to find the right one to begin with and that's not easy! Remember, it took me three tries to find the love if my life. 😮‍💨 Life sometimes gets in the way and challenges often weigh us down. We sometimes forget to truly show the love our partner deserves. God carries us through and shows us his great design for marriage when marriage is truly his design for your life. Our paths are complex and full of His mystery. He brings us to where we are meant to be when we simply turn it over to Him.

BTW... Mango seed pudding! Mangoes, one of my favorite of God's creations!!!
Off for another long adventure walk and back to the hotel for pool time!
