2024 Bali to Tokyo - March 24th -Sea Day

Today was a day at sea and pretty uneventful. We relaxed, swam in the pool, and ate food... Lots of it. It was formal night, so we got dressed up and spent a lovely evening enjoying each other's company.
I told John that one of my favorite parts of the cruise was simply spending time with him, 24/7! His preference would be 20/7. He said that he would simply want a few hours to himself. 🤔 What? I guess that was a better equation than I thought he'd offer.
There is not a lot to tell you about today, but I do have a quick story to tell you about John's key card. He was in the sauna quite a few days ago and had left his key card along with his phone on the counter right outside the sauna. Sauna are bad for electronics! When he came out, he grabbed up his belongings and went on his way. He later found that his key card was not working at all. We decided it would be best to go to reception and get a new one. Before we left, I took a quick peek to make sure nothing was funny and found that the name on the card was definitely NOT John. Hmmm we traced the event back to the sauna where John determined that the guy in the sauna with him at the time must have left and grabbed the wrong key card on his way out, leaving his for John to pick up. Not John's fault... again. 🤔 Then, John catches the same dude being mean to the spa ladies about misplacing his card. He kindly (probably with a little sarcasm) reminded the guy how cards sometimes get misplaced or simply... Switched and that he should be nice to others. The guy quieted down real quick and his anger dissipated. Key card karma?
Oh, I also have to tell you about the ventriloquist! We went to the show last night and wouldn't you know it, the comedian/ ventriloquist is the same guy in the gym that was playing his annoying podcast on his phone without earbuds. He was actually funny and didn't seem at all like the person I would have imagined him to be given my experience with him previously. I am constantly reminded that we really don't know people no matter how smart and deductive we think we may be. Btw, John fell asleep during the performance! It was after 9pm and... Lights out! He was just happy that the comedian didn't notice and make fun of him in his act. That would have been very bad! We often wonder, we seem to be some of the youngest on the ship but the earliest to bed. How do these "more mature" people get their energy?
